Hello, my name is Dr Seyedeh. F. Naseriniaki and I am founder and Executive Director of Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC.
I am an artist and I have an extensive experience of teaching and supporting people facing difficult circumstances, including asylum seekers, refugees and adults with learning disabilities. My passion has always been in art. As a freelance artist, I am particularly passionate about helping women to grow through creativity.

Who we work with?
We work with women over the age of eighteen with a particular focus of those living in Coventry and Warwickshire. We aim to support women who are struggling to integrate into society. This includes, but is not limited to, refugees, asylum seekers, women from BAME backgrounds; those experiencing language and cultural barriers; women struggling with isolation, low self-esteem, mental or physical health conditions or learning disabilities; women experiencing domestic abuse and women from the LGBTQUA+ community.
What do we do?
Foremost, at Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC, we recognise that sometimes when women are struggling, it can be difficult to navigate and access support. Therefore, we advocate for women’s rights on their behalf and liaise with local organisations and services so that we can provide you with up to date information and signpost you appropriately.
We develop employability, training and skills around arts and craft. This includes building up the confidence of women who are engaging with craft for the first time. Additionally, we teach people the basics around sewing, fashion design, dressmaking and upcycling used clothing items. We teach these skills so that we can support women with creating their own opportunities, employment and pathways.
We offer group art and craft sessions for therapeutic processes and create an environment that facilitates friendships and good working relationships.
